Programs
Fun & Creativity
All programs offer these, tailored to each age group, and each child's level.
Art/Creative Experiences
This time is used to encourage your child's creativity, social/emotional development, team building, sharing, small and large muscle movements. Teachers provide and encourage sitting together, listening to one another, and using different materials to truly make the creation their own. Children are so proud of their work and can't wait to show their families at the end of the day.

**COVID 19-Children recieve individual art bins and materials, socially distanced**
Music/Circle
Circle is often a favourite time of children and our teachers. They gather together and use this time to learn more about each other, to practice listening and turn taking. During circle teachers sing songs, use instruments, use pre-recorded music. Name practice and recognition is used, discussions about weather, days of the week, months of the year, what they are learning during the week all happen here!

**COVID 19, singing and shared items are eliminated, children are socially distanced during circle**
Movement
Movement and play are fundamentals in your child's learning. Movement is encouraged and planned for everyday. This often comes in the form of follow the leader, dance parties, stop and go games, exercises, yoga, neighbourhood walks and more. This helps strengthen the child's muscles, balance, exploration, memory and other skills.
Language/Literacy
We use language and literacy in our everyday world, even when we don't realize it. We encourage literacy recognition and mathematical literacy. We use our Handwriting Without Tears program, labels throughout our classrooms, asking children to describe what they see, what they are doing, how they are feeling, counting and sorting objects, creating patterns. We also encourage books and story time individually and as a group.

**Books are ready by teachers during COVID 19 for sanitization reasons**
Mathematics/Science
Counting, sorting, patterns, shapes are all a part of math and our teachers are excellent at incorporating these into their lessons. Providing experiments and asking the children what they think will happen sets us up for further science concepts.
Outside Play
Children and teachers alike love outdoor play! The toddlers have their own individual playground with a large chalkboard, push cars, sandbox and plenty of room to run! The preschool to school age children use the second playground which has a climber with a slide, tricycles, kitchens, cars, and plenty of space to explore. In the outdoors we can combine all of our programming and create unique learning opportunities, expanding their knowledge and muscle movements. It's also great for expending all that energy!
